Even Julia Montes is saddened by the death of Susan Roces. She displayed the handwritten letters she received from the renowned actress in an Instagram picture. Before FPJAP, the two collaborated on the program “Walang Hanggan.”

Jesusa Purificacion Levy Sonora, also known as Susan Roces, was a Filipino actress and producer. She was the wife of Ronald Allan Kelley Poe, popularly known as Fernando Poe Jr. .Roces was known as the “Queen of Philippine Movies” and appeared in over 130 films.

Susan Roces was most recently featured in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (FPJAP), where she played Lola Flora, Cardo Dalisay’s grandma (Coco Martin). According to the Kapamilya network, the actress has imparted the ideals of love, faith, and hope throughout her portrayal in FPJAP for many years.

The veteran actress, known as the “Queen of Philippine Movies,” has appeared in over 130 films.

Susan passed away on Friday night. She was eighty years old.

The station also described the legendary actress as “an exemplary icon” who served the Filipino people as a source of strength and inspiration. In a previous post, Raffy Tulfo, a broadcaster and senator-elect, requested President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to memorialize the actress’s death by proclaiming her burial day a “national day of mourning.”

Susan Roces’ daughter, Senator Grace Poe, said that the actress’s funeral will be accessible to the public beginning Sunday, May 22, and ending Tuesday, May 24, at 10 a.m. till ten o’clock p.m. It will be held in Taguig City’s Heritage Memorial Park.
