Korina Sanchez, a famous broadcaster-host, explained the reason why her husband, former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas, is no longer in politics.

Korina Sanchez uploaded a video of her husband and their twins, Pepe and Pilar, at the Father’s Day celebration. The veteran broadcaster-host was instructing their children on how to welcome their Papa. Mar Roxas and the twins even participated in the biting game.

Korina explained why her spouse is no longer involved in politics in the caption of the post.

“A lot of people ask about why Mar isnt in politics now. I dont bother asking him because I know. Although I do remind him that he has done SO much for this country out of the best years of his life as it is. All 30 or so years in office, ” she remarked.

In 2016, Roxas stood for president, but President Rodrigo Duterte was elected. Since then, the senior politician has mostly disappeared from the political world.

Several people expected him to run in 2019 and this year, but other from supporting Vice President Leni Robredo’s presidential bid, Mar Roxas has done nothing in his career in politics.

Korina stated that her spouse is now playing a larger part in Pepe and Pilar’s life. “So now he is again a father —- to twin 3 year old firecrackers Pepe en Pilar,” the Rated Korina host explained.

She also stated that, while Mar Roxas has done much good for the country and Filipinos, his greatest valuable legacy is his son Paolo, as well as Pepe and Pilar.

“And this is now his happiest and most important position to date,” Korina Sanchez continued. She added the hashtag “Best Dad.”
